Scone Depot

Scone depot is the head office of the Martins Group, with administration and operations all based at this facility. Set on an area of 3 hectares within the township of Scone, the depot has two fully equipped workshop facilities covering a floor area of approximately 7000 square metres.

Workcover NSW have inspected and approved a secured area for the parking of vehicles loaded with Dangerous Goods.

The workshop has two full length pits, one incorporating a brake roller tester. Workshop staff consist of a Supervisor, 4 fully qualified technicians, 2 apprentices, 3 qualified boiler makers. A fully equipped service vehicle is available for breakdowns.

Accommodation is provided for the benefit of drivers requiring rest breaks. The Scone depot is “home” to the Gordon Martin Bulk Haulage fleet.

Dubbo Depot

Conveniently located on the western edge of the township of Dubbo and covering an area of approximately 4 hectares, the depot has dual frontage to Fitzroy Street and the Newel Highway. The Dubbo depot is located on a major link for the Martin’s Stock Haulage fleet.

This depot has a Manager, Administration staff, in addition to 2 technicians, 1 boiler maker and 1 apprentice. The workshop facility covers an area of approximately 3000 square metres. Truck hoists are utilized to allow mechanics safely access the undercarriage of equipment.

The Dubbo depot is predominately used by Martins Stock Haulage as a base for the western district. A fully equipped service vehicle is available for breakdowns.

Oakey (Queensland) Depot

The recent purchase of the 81 hectare property, ideally situated on the Oakey- Pittsworth Road at Oakey compliments the Martin support base. This new facility is close to the major transport hub of Toowoomba and has a fully functioning workshop facility; complete with two full length pits, brake and suspension testing equipment, Queensland Roads licensed inspection station, wash down facilities and large hard stand parking and storage area.

The workshop and administration covers an area of approximately 8500 square metres. Driver accommodation is available for driver rest breaks, showers and an equipped kitchen affords the drivers the opportunity to relax whilst taking mandatory rest breaks.
